this option might be right for you if...

  • you are looking to integrate biofeedback/somatic interventions into therapy such as pulse oximeters, progressive muscle relaxation, belly breathing

  • you notice a difference between in person and virtual and prefer that in person connection

  • you are in a high conflict relationship and seeking couples therapy and desire the added benefit of having a therapist in the room to help interrupt those eruptive patterns

  • you are looking for intensive therapy sessions i.e. concentrated and immersive, involving extended periods of focused intervention within a relatively short timeframe (availability varies)

  • you desire to receive service outside of the home

i help in the relational

I believe in humans. I also believe that so many of us have endured so much in our lives and that therapy can be life changing. We do the best with what we have and what was available to us at that moment. We want ultimately to belong to ourselves, be understood by others, and enjoy healthy and fulfilling lives. Therapy is about expanding awareness, skills, and support so that all parts of you, even those traumatized and wounded parts can be SEEN AND HEARD. Being human can feel like the most complicated and simple thing in the world. What we want seems so clear but at the same time, out of reach. Think of therapy as a way to update the roadmap. We will journey together and work on your goals whether it be to decrease depression or anxiety, reduce trauma symptoms, improve relationships, or work through a recent loss or transition. Reach out to schedule.

Recreating and repairing communication, connection, and attachment starts with the courage to recognize a relationship is in need and the bravery of taking that first step. As a Level 2 Gottman trained Therapist and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am uniquely positioned to serve as your couples therapist. I offer concrete tools and interventions as well as an approach that is flexible. I often tell my couples that we will use Gottman for the method and attachment theory to supplement. It is so helpful to understand the patterns we unconsciously create as well as the reason it happens in the first place. It is a wildly enlightening process. Please note I also enjoy using humor when appropriate and very much enjoy witnessing couples grow, evolve, and heal. I really love this work and cannot wait to work with you.

The family is a timeless human experiment. People all over the world embark on the adventure of parenthood and there are always surprises. You have a collection of individuals of varying needs, desires, and ambitions all under the same roof. There are power struggles, traumas, losses, separations, and additions. Often in family therapy, therapy is sought after a transition, in other words: big change. I will bring a bit of humility and a whole lot of heart to working with you and your family. In my work, I hope to help the family expand their understanding of those in the systems through listening, validation, and honor. We will work together to create a metaphorical harbor where every member feels loved, protected and understood. It starts with a gathering, and I can help. Thank you.

my approach

Our relationships mean everything. Not only our relationships with our family, our lovers, or our friends, but also to ourselves. The greater our understanding is to these spaces between creates the potential for greater satisfaction in our lives and often when we are unhappy and suffering, there is a block in having our needs met in a fundamental way.

Virginia Satir said, “I want to love you without clutching, appreciate you without judging, join you without invading, invite you without demanding, leave you without guilt, criticize you without blaming, and help you without insulting. If I can have the same from you, then we can truly meet and enrich each other.”

My vision for successful therapy is allowing the container to explore those spaces between. For the individual, we might explore the different ‘parts’ of the psyche; their unique needs and how to move towards self leadership. In relationship to others, we learn tangible skills to communicate our needs, desires, and dreams while also honoring our partner’s. In family work, we expand to explore the family system, the needs of all members, communication, structure, but also attachment.

I am here to help you in these endeavors.
